My family’s experiences in this country are what drive me to create works that examine the issues faced by immigrants. As immigrants, we arrive here with uncertainty and are then stripped of our homeland identities. We obtain our new identities according to what jobs are available and which new cultures surround us. Being rooted is a constant struggle when gentrification and overdevelopment chase us. The series "Property For Sale” reflects this struggle and our adaptations to finding our voice in the United States.
